A Journey from the Farm to Empowering Business Owners
Welcome! I’m Brian, and I’m here to help business owners like you unlock the potential in your business and create a future you’re proud of. But before we get to that, let me take you on a little journey—a story of resilience, reinvention, and a lifelong passion for making a difference.
I wasn’t always a business consultant. My journey began in the most unexpected place: a remote farm, far from the bustling offices and boardrooms I’d later find myself in. Growing up on the land taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, resourcefulness, and hard work. When you’re miles from the nearest help, you learn to solve problems yourself, think creatively, and never give up—qualities that would shape my approach to business and life. You rapidly learn that taking action to move forward is 10X better than trying to achieve perfection!
Years later, those early lessons carried me through a successful corporate career. I climbed the ranks to senior leadership roles at Telstra, leading teams and managing multi-million-dollar projects. One of my proudest moments was spearheading a groundbreaking initiative called SCRAM—Strategic Customer Revenue Analysis and Management—alongside Boston Consulting Group. We completely reimagined how revenue was analyzed, focusing on customer behavior instead of traditional product metrics.
Despite the success, I couldn’t ignore a growing pull toward entrepreneurship. I left the corporate world and joined my wife in our own real estate agency. It was a bold move, and it paid off. Within 18 months, we went from a boutique agency to one of the top 20 franchises in our region. But the most rewarding part of that journey wasn’t the accolades or the growth—it was realizing how much I loved helping others succeed.
After selling the agency, I began coaching other business owners. I saw first hand how many entrepreneurs were struggling—not because they weren’t talented or hardworking, but because they were stuck working in their business instead of on it. They lacked the clarity, systems, and direction needed to scale and achieve sustainable success. They had never been shown or taught the right way to run a business that is profitable, sustainable and growth positive
That’s where I come in.

With over 40 years of experience as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a proven track record in transforming businesses, I bring a no-nonsense approach to simplifying complexity and driving results. I believe that cash flow is king, but even more than that, I believe in building businesses that stand the test of time. My mantra is Revenue is Vanity, Profit is Reality But Cash Flow Is King!

I’ve been a guest speaker on numerous podcasts, discussing topics like my 5-Step Profit Formula and Attract, Retain & Motivate Framework—a holistic approach to managing people that I call “People Whispering.” Recently, I joined the Real Estate Developer Legends podcast to explore the link between growing up on a remote farm and becoming a business consultant.
I’ve also spoken at events across Ballarat, Geelong, Werribee, and Melbourne and served as the MC for Westend Business Hub’s monthly networking events, where I introduced inspiring guest speakers and facilitated connections between local business leaders with my catch phrase 3, 2, 1 MINGLE!
Why? Helping business owners isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling. I’ve seen the incredible change that happens when entrepreneurs move from overwhelm to clarity, from firefighting to focused growth. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to wonder if you’re doing enough, or if you’re heading in the right direction. That’s why I’m here: to provide the clarity, tools, and support you need to move forward with confidence.
Outside of coaching and consulting, I’ve spent over 50 years pursuing martial arts—a discipline that’s taught me the value of perseverance, growth, and mental clarity. I also love exploring Australia’s natural beauty with my wife, whether it’s camping by waterfalls, hiking through lush forests, or enjoying the serenity of the ocean. And, of course, I treasure every moment spent with my family, especially my spirited grandchildren overseas. Lately, having relocated to the Bayside suburb of Mentone I enjoy walking along the Bay trails and taking an afternoon dip in the sea...no cold plunge just yet!
